Who are we? Kilinski | Van Wyk was founded in 2021 with the mission to become the premier community development district (CDD) and special district law firm in Florida. With three offices in Florida (Tallahassee, Tampa, and Jacksonville) and rapid growth, we are looking to add an associate attorney to our Jacksonville team. However, the right candidate may live anywhere in Florida. We take pride in serving as solution oriented members of our client’s team, focused on relationships and executing on policy and business goals provided by those we serve. Who are we looking for? Kilinski | Van Wyk PLLC is seeking an energetic, intelligent, and motivated associate attorney to join the Firm in its Northeast Florida office (Jacksonville area). However, the right candidate may live anywhere in Florida. The ideal candidate will have 0 to 4 years of prior legal experience, an interest in working with public entities and a demonstrated interest in business, policy, finance, construction and/or local government law. We work with a wide range of dynamic development-related and governmental clients with complex subject matter and offer the chance to practice in a unique and exciting environment. Qualifications include graduating in the upper percentage of your law school class, excellent writing and research skills, public speaking ability and the willingness to immediately work directly with clients. Interest or exposure to litigation, public finance and/or real estate and other transactional work is desired. Relevant education, background or experience may include, but is not limited to, public financing, ethics and conflicts of interest for government, public contracting and procurement, land use, construction law, real estate, and legislative affairs/public policy. This position is expected to involve travel within the state of Florida to attend client meetings on a regular basis.
