Our law firm has been involved in drafting construction contracts for various small- and large-scale development and special projects across the state of Florida – including site development, vertical construction contracts (apartment buildings, restaurants, hotels, amenity centers and the like), roadways, bridges and interchanges, and everything in between. We have represented governments, landowners, developers, home builders, contractors and tradesman in various phases of construction, from front-end drafting to dispute resolution proceedings. We are experienced in drafting, negotiating and executing to the benefit of our clients in a cost-effective manner, having years of project construction drafting experience.
While we routinely assist clients during pre-contract activities, including proposal preparation, bid protests, contract preparation and negotiation, and related licensing matters, we also are regularly engaged on such issues as cost overruns, differing site conditions, changes to the work, and construction defects. We are engaged along the way to aide clients in avoiding issues that may give rise to litigation later. We are well versed on Florida’s prompt payment act, notice requirements, protest statutes, and sovereign immunity laws.
